Bezuwork (Koki) Kidane
Bezuwork (Koki) Kidane is the founder and director of Ready to Learn School and Therapy Center. Born in Ethiopia but raised in the United States, Koki returned to Ethiopia in 2018 with a goal of serving children with special needs.
She holds a bachelor's degree in Phycology and Women's Studies from Arizona State University and a master's degree in Special Education from Grand Canyon University.During her time at university, she worked in a group home for adults with various behavioral issues. It was then that she saw the need for early intervention and realized a desire to begin working with children. After receiving her degree, she worked in the Garden Grove and Scottsdale school districts and trained in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA).
In the summer of 2018, Koki ran a special summer autism therapy program for children from all over Addis Ababa in the Mekanisa area. After a year of careful preparation and planning, she is now excited to be opening Ready to Learn as an independent school and therapy center!
Koki is a lifelong learner herself and enjoys the opportunity to come alongside children and families to believe they can do more than just survive-they can thrive!
